Don’t Inflate your Story to Fit In

Is the story you paint a true reflection of who you are, or one told to impress others? So many times, we are busy telling stories to impress others. In some cases, we live our lives for others and need the validation of others to feed our daily egos.

Learn to tell stories that are authentic reflections of yourself and not an apparition of yourself. Your life’s reflection should be one that depicts your trials and tribulations and your successful outcome, not the success inflated to the 10th power without any mention of your trials.

  • It is okay to talk about your struggles.

  • It is okay to talk about your dark path.

  • It is okay to talk about the not so glorious days.

  • It is okay to talk about you before you become yourself.

  • It is okay to show the scars from your many unsuccessful flights.

When you are true in the details of your stories and journey, you will be rewarded with true authentic appreciation and love.

Just because you have the skills of an orator does not mean you have the right to exercise that skill to inflate your story. Be genuine in your words and actions.
